Justin Lite was born and raised in West Islip, New York. Justin graduated from West Islip High School with high honors, a member of the National Honor Society, and a recipient of the Regents’ Scholarship. Justin captained and lettered in varsity football and lacrosse for the West Islip Lions

Justin attained a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, graduating in 1982 on the Dean’s List. During his four years at RPI, Justin played collegiate lacrosse, serving as team captain and being named All- Eastern College Athletic Conference (All-ECAC) during his senior year. 

Justin obtained his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law, graduating in 1985 on the Dean’s List.  After graduation, Justin followed in his father’s footsteps in becoming the quintessential hometown attorney. Justin’s Father, Joseph Lite, Esq., began practicing law in 1951 on the very block the firm now sits today and practiced here on Higbie Lane until he passed away in 1990.

During his illustrious career, Joe Lite was involved in many civic activities and was a leading architect in developing the Hamlet of West Islip. He was integral in establishing the West Islip Post Office, Library, School District, and Fire Department, as well as Lions Club and other community organizations.

Since 1985, Justin continues to carry his father’s legacy and is supportive in the Suffolk County community.   Justin has founded new community service organizations, which include “ASKUS,” an after-school program for children, the West Islip Youth Hockey Program, the Sayville Girls Lacrosse program, and the Sayville Athletic Foundation, all of which exist to provide better opportunities and paths for the youth. Justin has been appointed to serve as Guardian and Referee in the Surrogates and Supreme Court and regularly volunteers to serve as the Guardian for special needs adults. 

Justin   was the recipient of the Alumni Award from the West Islip School District in 1995 and has also been recognized as an outstanding contributor to the Sayville School District, the School District of both of Justin’s Daughters. By proclamation of the Suffolk County Executive, dated July 24, 2001 was declared “Justin Lite Day” in Suffolk County. 

Justin currently resides in Sayville, NY with his wife, Elisa and two dogs He is the proud father of two daughters: Judith E. Lite and Jordan L. Lite.
